Since the early 2000s, arcades have become niche markets as they had to compete with the home console market. So when the game Masterblast – made by the company with the same name – flopped ungracefully in 2005, the owners of the factory fled the country, leaving everything behind.
We were able to buy this piece of gaming history for next to no money, and decided to convert it to a new Soundstorm venue with a capacity of 300 to 500 visitors. The Masterblast as we conveniently called it, will be the main venue for We Play Every Day 2020
